Rain and more rain for Nashville and the surrounding areas. Parts of the interstates are closed down all around the the city. Rivers and creeks are over flowing from all the rain in the areas. Vehicles have been stuck on Interstate 24 heading to chattanooga under water from the mills creek over flowing on to the highway. Five people have been confirmed killed in Tennessee from the floods. One person was killed when water over took their car on Interstate 24 near hickory hollow mall. The weather has been very unstable and record rain fall has been reported all over the state of Tennessee.

ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for the clock to tick by and I just wanted to ask a simple question. Why do people drive into flooded streets? I know they see the water coming in, it looks deep, why would they continue to drive in.
Here in our part of the country, NW New Mexico, we don't suffer floods like this.

I don't understand why they do it either. Most of the people that are stuck in the water in the photos were over taken by the water on the interstate while sitting still in traffic. All of downtown Nashville were I work is flooded. Thank you for your concern.
